The St. Antonius hospital in Nieuwegein is a large regional hospital that is well-known for its expertise on cardiovascular and oncological care.

Medical physics

The medical physics department is responsible for the quality and safety of medical technology in the hospital. Our department has various project opportunities on the interface of medicine and engineering.

Assignments

Examples of currently available assignments are:

- validation of a sensor that measures the size and number of micro bubbles in the heart lung machine;

- automation of quality control of medical imaging systems;

- analyzing the added value of statistical image quantification in nuclear medicine.

Subject and content can be adjusted according to your interests and skills.

We are looking for master students that are:

- currently pursuing a masters degree in physics or engineering;

- enthusiastic about working in a clinical environment;

- interested in applied research, image processing, and biomedical engineering.
